Crazy wreck

So aparently thsi morning tehre was an accident on the Chesapeak Bay bridge... two cars... and somehow a semi truck went OFF the bridge.

Completely closed the bridge, had to divert traffic to having both directions (one lane each way!) using the westbound bridge.

Nope.. it has happened if I recall correct about 10 times since 1952...

and the last time was I think 2 or 3 years ago..

Sure it can, it floated all the way to the bottom of that 10ft deep part of the bay

Then - the bay is only 10' deep?

Besides - if the trailer was well-sealed and full of air - then yes, it would float.

battleships float - and they weight a whole snotload more than a semi. (I'm still trying to figure that one out.)

battleships are air tight on the bottom too, trailers aren't

If your going to drive off of the bridge, at least make it spectacular, and drive off of the high part of the bridge.

Well, the whole bay isnt only 10 ft deep, but the part he landed in was. Pretty sure the only really deep parts are the channels where the ships move.
