CUCV M1008 Questions

Leaky IP... bad glow plugs... floorboard rust... hacked wiring harness.

Bent rear driveshaft (if you're getting it from Gov Liquidation), missing parts, wiring, etc.

Once you get it, I'd look into putting a motor in it with some more power! lol

I bought a 1008 from GL a while back, August of 2007. I got lucky and put some fresh batteries in it and drove it on the trailer to take it home.

Missing parts is a big one, but other than that hard to start. Keep in mind they have very little power and with 4.56 gears they top out about 60mph.

Preciate it fellas. Yeah I know of a guy who sells them complete so we'll see. And with the gears I'm gonna run 35-36s on it so that should help. I need something slow though, speeding tickets are getting expensive... :shaking:

So picked up an 85 with low mileage for $3000. Needs a rearview mirror, seat, and other little non important things. Gonna put a 4" lift, 36s, paint it black, get all the military stuff off, put a radio in it, etc. etc. Will put pics up soon. Thanks for all the help
