So for the past month or so, me and Hurley(on the board) have been working on his truck. Took a perfectly good tow rig( '95 2wd auto Cummins truck) and Joey decided he wanted it shorter, and lower, and eventually, in what we will call stage 2, faster. I know its 2wd, but figured it might be worth posting up in here.
Front lowered 3", all else stock:

Then one night, the frame dissapeared:

First couple tubes, this is when i would really start envisioning how it was going to turn out.

Frame getting close, upper links in.

Links and COs mounted. If you wonder about all the stickers, i've been trying to find all i can stick on there while joey is away.

Next, we built a yard crane to help move axles, frames, and beds around the yard.

Had to test it of course, and since some people think animal testing is cruel, we just had to use joey instead...

Here is where we sit now, bed mounted, just need fuel cell and brakes plumbed, I picked up the driveshaft a few minutes ago from being shortened.

I like the crane the best!!

Awesome as hell. Did you think about using bags on the rear though instead of CO's? Gut the interior and add a cage, then go rape mustangs/camaros.

Oh Gawd....It's adam...... Ya'll watch out....His crazy female companions gotta be around here somewhere!!

Just kiddin, I think theres some pics of your truck on my website adam, I'm not sure..

Looks like ya'll will have some fun toys....I've got mine sold..Dudes taking delivery wens. i think....

Theres some shots of it on the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yieGSoRHZyE

Lookin good. I did the same thing to a 94 2500 last fall except I didn't back half mine. How did you lower the front?

Joey could answer for sure if he gets on here, but i think 3" Belltech springs and we just went ahead and replaced all the rubber with poly, and replaced the ball joints while we had it apart.

Thanks man, i think it is turning out good. Once again, Joey will have to answer that, but i guess the short answer is he didn't feel like it. Didn't want a compressor, and i think the COs will be good for what he wants, just worry free cruising. We do need to adjust the spring rate, these are way stiff, and it is sitting pretty high in the rear. It will hopefully end up within in inch or so of being level, but i doubt totally level.

Ashleigh is still floating around NC4x4 every once in a while... I didn't get up to the 2008 Dyno Day, but i was there in 2007 with Staton's burgundy 24v. That lowly red 12v in the background of some of those pictures is my tow rig, but it is pathetically stock for the time being.

Yes, BellTech 3" springs up front. I wanted to go as simple as possible in the rear, so CO's were the only option in my opinion.

Now if only I could get the hookup with some performance parts, etc. ;) I'm going to be more than willing to drop some money when the time comes-

Oh my....This place is goin down QUICK.....
:fuck-you::fuck-you::fuck-you:

Just dont even be friendly and call from time to time!!!

Anyway, Back on subject!

That is gonna be one nice ride! Any idea on the power route?

Shit the last time you said you were gonna call you never did. Just never mind I need some stuff for my jeep. I could probably trade a head stud job for a lift kit. :bounce2:

project funds have nearly reached depletion for 2008, so I'm just going to fiddle with the boost and pump some for the time being. When the time comes, my initial goal is 500whp. I've been pretty religious on CompD, trying to get a feel what would make a great setup for a street machine.

Did you get a true 3 inch drop in the front?

The best advice I can give is to remeber that the biggest DV's and Injectors dont always make the most power. Even more so in your setup as a street truck. Let me know if I can help out, I've got a good line on 12v parts!
