Randy (chasespop) has been on me for a while about my gas tank. I finally started welding it together so i snaped a few pics..

Its Mig'd on the inside, Gas welded on the outside, and for Ha Has i im brazing the inside... Not much but its started...

btw: its 14ga steel construction, ill have a flop tube inside for fuel pickup and found a cheep fuel sender unit that will work the CJ guage. (thanks braxton for that tip)

Looks good, but do ya think your big ass tires might hit it when you twist up the axles, given how wide it is? :lol:

if the tires hit it where the tank is located ill have other much larger issues..

Ill snap a pic tonight during a test fit..

But basically it fits between the frame frails and will be in front of the rear axle, above the rear diff chunk. There will be a notch cut out to allow for extra drive shaft clearance.

Im using the stock YJ rear cross member, only hanging the tank on the front side :) that along with some brackets in the front to hang it from the stock tub floor...
