Build thread.

Its way more difficult to build than just bolt on especially if you've never fabbed anything. You might want to start out slow and do little things to learn on before you start trying to build something that if done wrong will put lives at risk.

More work involved then most long arms look and if done right you could probably buy a bolt on system for less, but fabbing things can be alot of fun but safety should always be a first priority.

If you have never fabbed anything I would not start with a long arm system, rock slides bumpstop extensions stuff like that and work your way up.

so would it be cheaper for say a shop to build it then for me to buy the re la upgrade kit....

I think they are saying to buy a kit that's pre-fabbed and install it yourself as opposed to having someone build you one or you doing the trial-and-error thing.
