also, i need a design made for the shirts. i know there are some designers on here. any help is appreciated! will pay for a good design

PM me for the info of what i am looking for with a design

Ben, there is a place here in Greensboro that I and a few others here use for apparel. Contact Jeannie. http://hbdinc.com/contacthbd.cfm

As for the design, I usually use Brent (mbalbritton) or Kevin (ratputin) for that. Both are standup guys.

Just had a batch done there for the Jeepster JAM... VERY reasonable pricing!

You're either getting paid or blown to talk so nice about them!

Seriously, Brent's done more 4x4 related design that has benefited our sport than most folks know...

I too can vouch for Brent's illustrator prowess.
The problem with small quantities of shirts is that there are certain fixed costs (screen charges, art charges, setup fees, etc) that are the same whether you print 1 shirt or 100. I'm doing an "emergency" run of 12 shirts for a flag football team, and there's at least $3/shirt for that stuff. (and that's a re-run of an old design that already has screens made up) Now if I were printing 100 shirts, it would only be pennies per shirt.
For a very small run of shirts for yourself, honestly I don't know that it would be worth going the traditional screenprinting route. Most places charge $15-25 per screen, and you need 1 screen for each color you print.
Those economies of scale get ugly quick, as I've learned doing smallish runs of 30-50 shirts for clubs, smaller shows, etc...
good luck,

Ben, if you're a real cheapskate, you can buy iron-on transfer paper at Wal-mart for about $7. You can print on it with your bubblejet printer at home, then use a paper slicer to cut them out. Not fun, but for just a few shirts, way cheaper and you can have full color.
My wife made one many years ago w/ a full-color digi photo of her class of students. It's held up to many washings very well.

PM: MCJEEP, he'll be able to help you out.

Your printer is slipping it to you bro!

HDB, Inc. has a 1 time $25 setup fee, NO minimums, *YOU* choose the brand/model/weight/style (they'll even print Tee's you bring them), made sure the color(s) were right *before* they printed, and Jeannie just rocks. She had misquoted (under-quoted) our JAM shirts by $1.50 each and stuck to the price because it was her mistake. THAT'S customer service!

Yep, HBD is the place to go. They do all of my t-shirts!

I am glad one of the two I told you about for that event worked out. Chris filled me in on the campsite thing and I was disappointed.

Both. :flipoff2:

Ditto! The place was GREAT! The host,... well, he has a bunch in common with Charlie Manson.

Unless you're his meth *AND* beer connection? :flipoff2:

I still feel bad. Maybe another 100 year flood will come through and take the rest of all he owns down the stream.

You should know better Caver, I don't share the good stuff. :flipoff2:

I do graphic design and have alot of friends in the printing business. Let me know if you cant find anything and I will see what I can get done for ya.

i do need a decent design for the shirts. i asked brent about it but if anybody else has a cool idea let me know! the business is "QuickSilver Wheel Repair". i want that on it and the number 757.748.9189

if anybody does this as a career, i can shoot them some cash for their design too. not trying to be a mooch!

MCJEEP does this for a living. he has software for this and can do the shirts. hes in Hertford, NC, fairly close to VA beach compared to most other places listed.

Is that per screen, or just $25 period, even for a 5 or 6 color design?
If so then yeah, that's a steal, as every shop I've talked to here and back in Raleigh has charged per screen. But heck, I've got a multi-colored design in the works, may drop her a line and see what the deal is...
