so currently have my bronco tore down to the frame rails and cage doing a complete overhaul on floor dash bla bla and also doing a ls turbo 350 and 203 205 my next deal really is deciding on what might be the easier choice is to buy around 350 in new gauges plus say another 100 ish in stuff to make them work cut down my harness and have someone flash is at the tune of 175 and not be able to mess withit later on without paying him again say if I wanna do cam changes or turbo whatever. also have to build a fuse block and relay bock at maybe another 100 so ruff total of say 750 to 800. or just get the holly system that allows you to change some stuff without tunner support and not to mention the harness will be much cleaner and run what small stuff I have on a existing fuse block I have because the holly deal only takes 12 volts to run and comes with a led screen to run gauges off factory sensours but to the tune of a thousand bucks so a little more money in the long run but think it might be a cleaner job. just looking for some advice on what you would do

I don’t know about the terminator and all that but I just got mostly done wiring up an LS1 in my dad’s 55 Sedan. I used the stock Trans Am harness and took it apart and used what I needed. It took me all summer working on the weekends to cut, solder, and route a new harness. My dad was going to buy a harness but I wanted to try my hand at doing it myself and to learn a little about how the engine was wired. After doing it I would most likely never do another one. I have enough hours in it that minimum wage would have paid for it more than once. But, I did learn a lot and it fits perfect.

As far as flashing the computer, HP tuners is $400 at Summit, it seems straight forward enough to change the computer to allow the car to run. I have not played around with tuning yet since the motor is stock, but I plan to try my hand and learn more and not melt anything.

Yea cutting down harness looks to be a weekend adventure We have a guy that can take vats off and get your computer running motor but price wise in what I have to buy not having gauges it's only bout 300 more to not and have to worry about it. Pull it out of box plug in plugs and motor runs seems pretty easy to me

You can buy ready to go harnesses for fairly cheap. The Terminator ls wiring setup is honestly a great deal especially if you aren't trying to control a transmission and don't already have hptuners, that being said... The baby ass tuning touch screen is terrible as far as gauges. Either way you'd want something better. Can use a tablet pc and obd port for gauges simply and cheaply with the factory computer.

I'm in similar situation I currently have a terminator for my 393w ,but wanted to replace the gauges so I only used the holley sensors. They have CAN bus analog style guages and now they have the 6.86" Holley Prodash which pretty sweet. As for the terminator its self they are really reliable.

So is that price for that monitor only, or is it all inclusive of all that is needed to convert to Holley EFI?

To convert to holley EFI you would still need a ecu like the sniper, terminator, or dominator. The dash can aslo have sensor directly connected to it, so it can monitor sensor in stand alone mode or add additional sensor when connected to the ECU.

The other neat thing it also incorporates digital switches that the screen can turn on/off.

Thinking after doing some research and to get the most out of a budget and what i want it to do im going with the edelbrock pro flo 4 comes stand alone with a tablet for gauges for around 900 bucks. the holly stuff would be nice but cant see spending 2000 on the standalone and the pro dash.
