I just finished my high pinion axle swap into my tj. It was out of a 86 cherakee i locked it and put in a yukon 4.88. I swaped over the breaks also and now i have NO brakes. The pedal will pump up a little but then it just goes back to the floor. And yes i have blead the brakes (over and over) there has been about 2 pints through all for courners. i know there is no more air traped in the lines. At least all my fluid is new. Any ideas??

Did you use the calipers and rotors from the Cherokee? If you used the brakes off your TJ can you move it or is the front locked up? I don't remember what year but there was a change. Maybe someone will post that info.

Methinks you have the right caliper on the left and the left caliper on the right. The bleeder MUST be on the top. Sadly, I've done this.....more than once.:shaking:

Are your calipers on correctly? The bleader has to be at the top. Not sure on the D30, but the D44 will allow you to put them on the wrong side.

don't feel bad. We have all done that before...well, atleast i have.

I remember when i did it, i was bleeding them and thought, what idiot designed these with the bleeder on the bottom...then realized that i was the idiot.

 My buddy did the same thing.

I wanted to punch myself in the face
I can help with that.

I was lucky, and sat there staring/cursing at the caliper. Was even ready to return it to the parts store, thinking they must have given me the wrong ones, when I realized I was stupid.

dont feel bad. i bought 2 of the same side calipers when i did my disc swap. still run them to. just have to take off the caliper to bleed them. and of course put the rotor inbetween them
