Anybody know of a worthwhile and cost effective solution to a broken D300 output shaft? I have seen the usuals, but located a new Teraflex unit shipped for $250 today. Anybody seen them run?

And whats up with Teraflex? When I google them up, you dont ever really get their homepage. Am I losing it today or what?! I promise if they are out there, I will not use my PC for the rest of the week....

teraflex

yeah, OK I guess there is some name infringement going on there. I tried every combo out there and didnt try that one.

I am going to try their kit. After looking at the dinky stock unit, its probably not a bad way to go. I have been lucky, I have wheeled that same D300 for 16 years- behind a 258, a 304 and two TBI 350's. It has lived until now....
I seem to be breaking more stuff with beadlocks. Tires wont spin in the rims like the used to.

I have a stock rear output and housing somewhere from when I upgraded to the Tera HD one. PM me if you're interested. Also, check DC4wd.com Thats who I got mine from and I believe it was under $200 shipped.

d300 output

I spoke with DC4WD and he quoted me $250 for the Tera HD output. My only problem is I have the SHORT Dana 300 tcase from the 1980 CJ and one bolt hole is different or I'd sell you this stock one for CHEAP. The short tailshaft Dana 300 is gonna cause me a minor headache when upgrading to the HD output.

Advance adapters shows a part number for the short tailhousing bolt pattern.

if you'll notice the short housing doesn't take the NP231 speedo gear though. Only the long housing has that. I am planned on welding the case and tapping the extra bolt hole. Should be fun...

Found out the "ultra-short" Dana 300 HD output kit was scrapped by Novak. This kit fit both bolt patterns. Very few kits were made and nobody's selling those.
