I plumbed the brake lines last night.

I'm trying to adapt the brake fittings I have (1/8" NPT) to the calipers. I have stock GM 1 ton calipers on the front and 3/4 ton on the rear.

Whats everyone's solution for this? Has anyone found THE adapter for this?

I haven't gone to the parts store to look yet but I fear that they won't have what I need as I looked in there the other day and the selection was little to none...

Do you have the soft lines that mate up to the banjo bolts already? If so you probably just need a 1/8" npt to 3/16 inverted flare adapter? Otherwise use a set of stock chevy car front soft lines, T in the middle and go from there.

Don't have any of the original lines.

the GM is a 7/16" banjo. Seems that all I need is the 7/16" banjo to 1/8" FPT adapter. Looking for it now :)

Using the Speedway plastic lines.
I talked to the local hydraulic shop today and they said they can make me what I need. So, I'm off to the hydraulic shop in the AM to see what I can get.

Well unless I'm missing something, you're going to have to go from the plastic line to a flex line that goes to the axle, then to the factory 3/16 inverted flare to banjo bolt flex lines that go to the calipers. The hardline can't go straight to the calipers since they move.
Like this front and rear pretty much...

Those are chevette hoses with the 7/16 banjo fitting. The front could just use soft (and hard) lines from autozone for whatever 1 ton gm the axle came out of ?

Napa should have 1/8" npt to 3/16 inverted flare fittings.

If you had used steel tubing and flared it yourself you wouldn't need any fittings. :flipoff2:

Steel tube and flaring it takes WAAAAY too long.

Right now I have the Speedway (plastic) lines all the way to the calipers. I just need to get an adapter from 3/16" compression to the 7/16" banjo. My local hydraulic shop can make this for me (so they tell me) so I'll be good to go Tuesday. :)
