Ok so i have been talkin and gettin lots of info on a good swap to get rid of my stock D35 and D30. I would love to run D60's in front and rear, full length ofcourse. Right now i am running a 4" lift and am not sure if i should just go ahead and do an SOA while i have the axles off. This is a project that will take months, many many months, so first i just plan on getting all the parts i need, starting with the axles. If i go and get a D60 front and rear, used, with disc breaks, at least on the front, high pinion, what would be a decent price for the seller to be asking, i would like them off of a 75-77 f-250 or f-350? I think my first plan of action is to refurbish the axles, what would be worth replacing in the axles? Shafts? gears? etc. Hopefully i can find some axles soon, if you know anyone who has some they are willing to sell give me a PM. I will try to keep this up to date on how the project is going, right now it is just a bunch of phone calls. OH, also if anyone is selling a 220 Volt 180Amp mig welder i am interested in that too. Thank you. Sorry for such a long thread....its a big project.

77.5-79 F250 or F350 axles

A wise man once told me do it once. Well I didn't listen back then and now I am getting where I should have been back then. hopefully by spring my stuff will be done or close to it.

I have a D44/D60 combo out of a 79 F250 I am building for my Jeep right now. I know that one day I will probably go to a front D60 as well.

The only things I plan on doing are as follows.

New ring and pinions 5.13 gears front and rear
Spools front and rear
I will be looking at all the seals and replacing if needed
I will not be replacing brakes yet but I will in the future convert to rear disc brakes as well
Also I will be looking at the ujoints up front and the ball joints to see if they are any good and replace if needed
