I put drive flanges on my front D60. Bought them off Ebay, made by "Rockslide Engineering". They came with full-circle snaprings (the ones you spin in), but when tightening the bolts for the cap to the hub, it pulled the flange and bent the snaprings (on the axleshafts).
Do I HAVE to run the snaprings on the shafts, or is the one large outer snapring good enough? Only reason I can see the one on the shaft being there for is to keep the shaft riding in a certain area on the spindle bearing, and to possibly keep the seals in contact with the sealing surface.
So, OK to run w/o those snaprings or not?
Thanks
