ok, got an ax5. i'd replace it except i haven't broken it yet and i don't see a point.... so..... that being said

i'm replacing my rear main seal (leaking), clutch, pressure plate, clutch slave cylinder, and hopingt o get my flywheel resurfaced. if i cant get it resurfaced i'll be buying a new one :(

now... i want an inertia ring.... where is the cheapest place to get one? anyone have one for sale? any downsides of getting one? it seems like a good idea for my 4 banger on 39's....

Good idea, especially with the 4 cyl and the fact that you are in the clutch already. I installed one last year. I think if I wasn't geared so low I would have noticed more improvement. Got mine from Jason at Tri County Gear, http://www.tricountygear.com/main.htm , seems like it was $145 or so. If you have a machinist friend it would be easy to make one.

unfortunatly, i don't have any machinest friends..... so if i do go to a machine shop i'll probably get bent over pretty bad.

i'm waiting to hear back from jason @ tri country... hopefully they can get me taken care of.

i really want to keep the 4 banger just to be the underdog (oh, and i'm poor) so it makes sense to add one while i'm in there.... or so it seems.

Yeah, despite the continual temptation to be like everyone else with a SBC, I actually enjoy wheelin the banger and it makes it feel even better when you make a hard line :)

just called.

$155 and available at the end of march.

well it was a nice thought.... too bad it never made it past the "i want it" stage.

going to get a clutch and get my flywheel resurfaced. hopefully i'll have it back on the road today or tomorrow if the flywheel takes longer than expected.

Doesn't hurt to ask the guy resurfacing the flywheel if he can do anything for you.
