Dana 30 knuckle worn?

One of my Dana 30 knuckles is worn where the brake pad rides. Anyone seen that before?

Trying to figure why my brakes where dragging on that wheel. It was really packed with mud too
 
Yep. Pretty common issue. Clean it really well, weld it, and grind it back level.

That’s what I was planning on doing
 
I'd have thought they would use a stainless clip to keep that from happening. Interesting...

I would think that the aftermarket would have picked up on it and offered a pad and shim kit by now but I haven't seen one yet.
 
Let's do it, corner the market, and retire early!
