I might be putting a chevy 60 in my TJ. I am planning on putting a dana 300 in anyway, so I could leave it unflipped and run a passenger drop. Does anyone know of a clocking ring that will allow me to bolt the dana 300 to my nv3550? Some people say just redrill the tranny but I would prefer to just buy a clocking ring and be done with it if there is one out there that doesn't cost $250. I have seen some of the rings on pirate but none of the vendors can confirm it will work with the nv3550. Anyone have an idea?

Not too sure what bolt pattern the NV3550 has, but if it's the circular 6 bolt pattern, then just go with like a Greatlake Offroad clocking ring (like $60 bucks), and be done with it. Just make sure that front output shaft doesn't interfere with your tranny pan.

I think it will bolt right up unflipped. If flipped, you have to widen two holes. If you don't flip the case, you have to reroute the exhaust, but it drastically simplifies the t-case linkage.

as said youll haveta deal with your exhaust... you might also haveta deal with your floor being in the way depending on how flat its clocked... also look for possible starter or oil filter clearence issues depending on how much lift it has...

JB conversions lets you keep the roller (not sealed) bearing. I liked it because all you have to work with is the input ring and not the whole case. But... its $$$ but very good fit

I ahve been looking at this for a AX15. I found that a regular clocking ring will not work. For the AX15 anyway you need almost an inch thick spacer so the input on the case doesnt hit. If you clock it up you will have to deal with the floor. And more then likely you will have to go with cable shifters. Keep us posted on what you find out.
