Dana 300 twinstick issue

Using an Omix-Ada twin stick for the D300, has anyone had any trouble with their shifter linkages not being able to clear the transmission? I'm doing an TF999/D300 combo and my shifter linkages are all but not wanting to work. They move, but they slide into where I assume a factory shifter linkage went on the TF999. I already have the twin sticks and I really like the idea of them but I'm tempted just to run the factory 300 shifter because I'm not a fan of the linkages touching the transmission.

I had to clearance my SM420 with a grinder to get the twin sticks to fit but works fine now.

i also had to grind on my nv4500 for my twin sticks to work as well. didnt have to take off alot, but they didnt just "bolt" up.

I realize that I could grind it just a hair, but these really aren't wanting to fit. I'm not too wild about grinding the casting of my transmission down much. However, if I want to run these, it looks like that's what will have to happen.

I can't help much on install, I say blue flame and bend to suit your needs, (I made my own twin-stick shifter - it ain't pretty but it works). Have you done any 'inside' work? Modifying the shift rails? If not check out www.4x4wire.com/tech/dana300/ .
