Dana 44 axle rebuild

the 98's didnt come with a d44. just a dana 35 and a chysler 8.25. unless you bought it lifted/ modified i doubt its a 44

nope its a dana 44 for sure i vefified with the delaership by giving my vin number to them and it s a dana 44 rear axle witha the 3.73 gear ratio so if anybody has some other input that can actually help me i would much apperciate it thanks
 
98 xj's did not have d44's from the factory. Has to be a GC.

yes the Grand Cherokees did. but they are aluminum. so there still weak

It's hard to help when we are not sure what axle you have. The D44a is a different beast then the D44 IMHO.
 
seriously it may seem like im getting bent out of shape but im not, i've checked with the dealership and they have confirmed from my vin number that iit is in fact a dana 44. but dont worry about the rebuidl i'll be handing the axle off to a shop to rebuild and regear ect. ect. work interferes with my ability to do thus myself.
