Dana 44 axles shafts

What shafts are interchangeable on the dana 44? I need to get some spares so I am not stuck while I save for a 60. I believe that the front axle is a Dodge but I am not sure since it came off a rack. Most likely dodge or chevy though.

It would probably be easiest to just take them out and measure them, since you arn't entirely sure what it was from in the first place.

There are 2 sizes of outers that I have seen. And several different inner sizes, 4 at least.

Opps, sorry I ment for this to be in the axles forum.

I know that their are different sizes. My problem is that I don't know what matches what. I also don't know what lengths match what models. I talked with a yard yesterday that has quite a few front 44's, but they need to have a year and model number to match up to. I am planning on pulling mine apart this weekend, but I was hoping to find out what long sides fit what model axles and stuff like that. there must be some kind of overlap.

A Chevy uses a 18.5 short side inner axle this will also fit in the short side of a early Bronco D44. A waggy short side is shorter then the Chevy I think. I will see if I can measure one tonight.
