dana 44 spider gears

i tore out my spider gears in my XJ d44. will any d44 carrier and spiders work? my carrier is also cracked. if i remove the carrier will i need my gears reset? i know if i keepmy shims in the same place then i can remove it and put it back in.

yes

No, you only need to have them reset if you replace the carrier. If it's cracked you will need to replace it.

Only if you use the same carrier. Resusing the shims will get it close, but there are slight differences in carriers.

dang gettint them reset is gunna be a pain. how hard is it to get them reset? (doing it myself)
