L have a closed knuckle F250 Dana 44 axle that I want to change the steerting geometry.EVERYONE says to trash it and start over but it works great and plus money isnt really plentiful right now.

Does anyone know if high steer knuckles are available?
I have also been looking at changing over to a cross over steer
but when I mention the axle people like rustys back off?

yall got any idears:driver::driver:

post some pics of the knuckle

Seems that you could make your own steering arms.....There studs on top of the knuckle

I'd make them...using the stock 4 studs...add a 5th stud and then tie it into the tie rod mount on the lower part of the knuckle

those aren't studs, they appear to be bolts. They may have tappered cone washers underneath. As for the fifth stub the cross section of that block looks very small and adding anything like a hole in the middle will make it weak. On top of that the middle should be a raised pin that the whole knuckle rotates around, mostlikely with a bushing instead of a bearing. The over all axle is weak and a poor design with parts being much harder to get. I'm not sure but I don't think they ran a u-joint style axle and the splines are some sort of bastard size, so no replacement parts to be had. Look at Parts Mikes homepage I think he has a write up on several versions of Dana 44 stuff. I know Bill vista on that other furom does.

big u joints but 16 spline

i figured some type of ball and claw stuff
