smooth bottom, big bore spindles for 35 spline shafts, 4.10 gears, limited slip...... was told it came out of a 97 dodge 2500. have found VERY limited info.....
i think i read right when i read it has dana 70 wheel bearings and hubs.....

any insight on this axle???

for the sake of future searches, i found some definite info i'm going to post....

the axle is pretty much a dana 60 center section with 70 outers (hubs, bearings, spindles, etc) smooth bottom, can accept 35 spline shafts without boring spindles. in my opinion, if you want a 60 rear, this is the one to get.

I had a 70-1SU a while back, it was essentially a 70-HD inside of a smooth bottom housing. It was neat, probably one of the most desirable axles out there in stock form. 35 spline shafts, 3.5" tubes, 1410 factory yoke.
