Dana 60 or 70????

how can you tell a dana 60 from a 70?????? i traded for a set from a junkyard ...... dont know if the rear is 60 or 70........ out of a 97 dodge....... thats all i know about the donor..thanks

There were an awful lot of dodges built in '97. Little more info please.

It should have 60 or 70 stamped on the housing somewhere, either on one of the webs or on top.

the truck was 3/4 ton sorry dont know if its gas or diesel....... the front axle has "60F" cast into it

Is the rear centersection far larger than the front? If so then it's a 70 or 80.

It could also be a dana 80 if it was in a diesel with a manual transmission. It will be stamped in the webbing like stated above.
