so just wondering if I can find and use a 78-79 HP D60 housing can I use all the outers and the diff set from a 91 KP/ HP D 60 (which I already have). I know the axle shafts dont jive but those will be getting Chromo upgrades any way

@ Jody, Thanks I thought that was the case but I am new to the 1 ton world and just wanted to be sure. I guess now I am on to finding a 78-79 housing that will work....

You could even use Chevy or Dodge outers if you wanted. Just depends on what knuckles or brakes you want to use. Be careful with the 78-79 housings, a lot of them were built with almost 2 degrees of positive camber. You could easily have a housing made, they're not as expensive as I thought. I had considered getting a bare housing from Currie a while back.

Or...you could find any old Dana 60 front and have it re-tubed and the Cs welded on. I bet ECGS could whip something up real easy.
