Going to start a build on my lj starting with finding axles. Pulled a dana 70 out from under a rv today looks pretty good 4" tube's disk brake axle. However its a 10 lug pattern and im not finding a lot of information on swaping it to 8x6.5. Any help much appreciated im somewhat new to a build like this

My memory says that FF rear axle only have a few hub sizes. Pull your hub and measure the spindle and bearings. I bet it likely shares the same hub as an 8 lug 70 or maybe 80.

If the hub snout OD is small enough, you can just redrill to the 8lug pattern

Before you spend one dime on that 10 lug 70, verify the width with the correct hubs installed. You will likely be way off from whatever front axle you run.
Like others said, look for a disk brake 14 Bolt for under $500 and be money ahead.

OP: Take Jody's advice. Enough said.

2 5/8ths and 2 1/8th on the spindle where the inner and outer bearings set

I have a set of 8 lug d70 hubs. $50
