a. Don't walk thru a running carwash
b. Don't wear loose clothes (including scarves) while working around machinery.

Its not that odd, just not AS common as down here. I know i get funny looks when i go up north to visit family, am asked if i have a knife, then respond by asking how big they want.

I do have to agree that wearing a scarf into a carwash was a monumentilly stupid idea in the first place. Note to the owner, include no scarfs on the new NO NO list.
