Dayhike in Hickory/Lenior Area

I'll be up near Hickory soon, and will have time to squeeze in a 5 or so mile dayhike. Anywhere good in the immediate area? (I won't have time to go far off from there (will actually be in Hudson).

I think it is called Baker's Mountain, in the mountain view area is nice.

south mountain state park is a good hike .
