How often do you change yours?

Wife has a 98 zj. I changed them a year or two ago for the cheap yellow Monroe's. It's got more body roll and rebound than I like. I thought about defecting them but didn't have time this weekend.
 
seems like cheapo shocks only last a year or two, likey only 1 is completely blown.

My best luck with a set of cheap shocks was a set of "pro-guard" gabriel shocks that I had some light wheeling and DD on without issue after 30k miles.
 
I guess I was mostly asking if everyone else had to change them after 2-3 years and 50k, which is what's recommended, just figured they would last longer than they have, but we do run it hard.. And one did come loose one time since bolts broke at the axle.
