dead explorer

my roommate has a 95 explorer with the keypad on the side, problem is he locked his keys in his car and it died.
does this explorer have an emergency hood unlock from the outside like some cars do?
Any help is appreciated he has been parked in 1hr parking all day and is gathering tickets
