I'm in the VA... :p Maybe I'll sell some later...

Was at BJ’s today getting some stuff and saw rotella t4 1540 on sale. It was 6, 1 gallon jugs for $96. Beer math says that’s $16/gallon. Parts house is anywhere from $18-22 around here. YMMV.

50% off on the older version of the steel Weigh Safe adjustable hitch with up to 22k capacity:

These are really nicely machined hitches that don't rattle and are built rock solid. I will personally say that the gauge on my previous one had a short service life and I was unimpressed with that, BUT they did warranty it without issue. At $190 for a 2.5" shank 6" adjustable drop hitch, its as cheap or cheaper than comparable options without the tongue weight gauge and better built.

If they had the 180 ball mount setup like B&W Id be pressing buy.
Thats the biggest thing for me im 50/50 on 2" and 25/16...and keeping up with a separate receiver or ball is a hassle.

I just want one to get my tongue weights; I use weight distribution on my larger trailers so a weigh-safe is not functional as a hitch to tow with, and thinking about how those work it would seem silly to me to put all that weight and shock load on a hydraulic system internal to the hitch driving down the road.

I see way too many people with their B&Ws and other huge hitch mounts pulling their heavy trailers as a weight carrying hitch without weight distribution and clearly are overtaxing the receiver.

They do, but it's not on sale, and doesn't include the scale. The one I linked to comes with a 2" and 2-5/16" ball but you do have to take 30 seconds to swap them out instead of 10 seconds to flip it over.

I wouldn't say "silly" but certainly a difficult life for the system. Then again, think of all the other constant impact and undulation hydraulic system out there that run for years.

It’s not the 10 second swap-I’d agree with you..,it’s the 5000 hours of hauling the unused around
