Decent deal on floor jack

I think things have changed a lot in a short period of time with Craftsman. I know several people that have had nothing but problems with them recently. Their online reviews should be alarming to their quality control people.

I've been looking at that Arcan for a while. Looks like a badass jack for the money. Reminiscent of the old-style Arcans and Walkers. The Crapsman and Horrible Fright jacks take forever to raise, and have a very limited range in comparison. Let me know how it works out!

Is that thing steel or AL?
I love my 3 ton jack, but that sucker is heavy, dragging it around the shop gets old fast, and picking it up to move somewhere is hernia city.

I have this exact jack and absolutly love it!! have had it for a year know and have had no problems out of it and it pumps up quickly... like 4"s a pump until contact. For the record... i went through 2 crapsman jacks in 4 months before i bought this jack and will never own another craftsman product again.

The 3yr replacement warranty is where it's at. I bought a 3-ton Torin from Northern Tool a few years ago. I had it for a while before I tried to pick up the Dodge with it. Broke the damn thing in half... right down the middle.

I've only used mine a few times in the past month, but it works well and just picked one up last night for my dads birthday. They said at NT that they sold 6 in one hour on Wed. of this week. It's still a great deal.

Yes, it's steel and heavy, but I don't pick it up to take it with me anywhere. It has quite a bit of vertical travel too.

I got a really tough (looking) 4 ton low profile craftsman jack for christmas, a couple days later i started reading reviews on it. just on 3 different sites i saw over 200 bad reviews with tons of failures and dropped cars. I started looking around for something to replace it with right away, reading reviews and such, and the best looking jack i found was the same one the op posted. The next day I returned the craftsman jack (there where 3 other people in there returning broke jacks) and went straight over to northern tool and equipment, went to the jack section, and didn't even see any of the Arcan brand jacks. I was so disappointed, i just grabbed a couple other things i needed while i was there and when i was about to head to the checkout, i stumble onto a pallet full of brand new Arcan jacks they had just got in. They also gave me the online discounted price after i asked about it.

The jack has been doing awesome, It held up the front of my ramcharger for 10 hours straight, lifts our jeeps like its nothing and we even jacked up the whole rear of a john deere 50 that my father is restoring.
