Deere rider high rev.

Replaced the crank case gasket in my LA150 rider. It has a 26hp B&S motor. Everything went together smoothly, I Hooked up all the linkages just like they were and as soon as I touched the key it took off revving like a hyabusa!! I have gone through and checked all the throttle linkages and where it hooks to the governor arm and all seems correct. Did I miss something inside? Any help? TIA

Sounds like the governor isn't governing. Might double check that linkage.

Looks to be more of a front and center injury! I second the governor being held open. Should have a little linkage that also throttles back the carb. May be a simple spring pressure return missing.
