Did jeep ever offer an np203?

I'm trying to make the shortest 203/205 doubler I can get for the cj. Its going behind the Mopar 440 with a 727 trans. The waggy 727's had the shortest tailshaft and t-case adapter that I know off and those guts will swap into my Mopar 727. But I'm pretty sure jeep always used the round pattern t-cases and I don't know if there's any np203's that will mate up to the jeep 727's. Anyone tried this?

While not the cheapest, this is the shortest option for a 205 doubler. By incorporating the mainshaft it make it very compact and very strong.

Just dont forget to install the input snap ring :huggy:

I think a dodge 203 gear box will bolt onto your transmission.

An eco box 205 combo is about the same length as your standard np231 and about triple the weight :D

Dodge 203s do not use the 6-round pattern. However, I have heard of people drilling and tapping the front of the 203 to make it bolt to a 6-round transmission.

Thanks for all the replies. I may consider the ecobox if I come across a donor 231. But Ive got a 203 on my 727 now and a 32 spline 205. So it's tempting to spend $800 ish for a doubler plate and shaft, then fab some shifters and go. Just don't know if it'll fit in the cj even with the stretch... Ive read that the waggy 727 output shaft is the shortest of all 727's so was going to try and get a bit shorter by swapping the tailshaft and t-case adapter if I could find a waggy with a 203. I just don't think jeep ever used the 203, but I don't know what t-case they used for their quadratrac fulltime 4wd setup other than that Borg Warner case behind the th400

The imput on mine (AW4 is 23 spline and fits.) but....

I had ot have the 203 drilled and tapped for the 6 bolt pattern. When I did mine in the xj back in 07 there were very few options. So 203/205 it was. Now I want the eco box. The 1.98 low is too shallow and the 3.92 double low is too low all the time. With the 2.72 in the eoc box I'd have 1.98, 2.77 and 5.38 witch I believe would give me what I want. Just my .02 from wheeling a 203/205 going on 14 years. It is also behind a 4.0 so the 440 might make a huge difference.
