i am switching to diesel oil for a few reasons.

i know the choice most use is 15 40...

but what about SAE 30?

are there major differences besides weight? should i just stick with 15 40?

thanks in advance

These high-performance, mixed-fleet engine oils are recommended for all on- and off-road applications where the use of single viscosity grade oils is preferred.
Application: Heavy-duty motor oil for gasoline, diesel and LPG engines; service vehicles, passenger cars
Benefits: Extended drain intervals, cleaner engines, longer engine life.

what do need oil for? i thought the new low sulfer diesel was supposed to keep everything slippery in there.

yup rotella is good stuff. it seems to hold real good compared to other cheap oils. and there isnt a day that my motor dosent see 5 grand at least once.
