looking for a brand that sounds good and performs good to.
was looking at mbrp 4" turbo back. for a 7.3 ford power stroke. what do you have or any good feedback from any friends on their exh. looking to buy a kit and install it myself.

I have a Magnaflow system on my Power Stroke...easy to install, quality parts, sounds and looks good. The down side is they are priced a little high but over all a good product. But I would check Summitracing.com they have good shipping prices. Good Luck

MBRP is my biggest selling exhaust. I have never had a problem with one. Let me know if I can be of any help.

MBRP is widely considered as the benchmark for diesel exhaust.. I've got a MBRP 4" dual setup on my rig..

I'm on my third aftermarket exhaust for my 7.3 and I am currently running the 5" MBRP. In my opinion it flows the best.

Be carefull, some mfg. market a 4" turbo down pipe but what you actually receive is a 3.5". it can make a world of difference.

Ckeck out WarpSpeed.com exhaust. Very nice bolt on kits and cheap!

straight pipe is the only way to go on a diesel motor..less back pressure the better. im running 4" to 5" to 6" stacks...i love the sound on the CTD and the EGTs never find more than 1250*even with a edge and and 100 hp injectors

thanks for all the advice. looks like ill stick with my original pic. the 4" mbrp

Another vote for MBRP. I have the 4" turbo- back on my F-350 and it's great. My brother also runs it on his, straight piped. It sounds sick.

i will be calling you as soon as i sell another hp44

Hey,

well sell a lot of the MBRP exhausts. Very quality product. Keep in mind the XP series does not come with a tip while the Pro series does. Though you can generally buy a tip w/the XP series and still come out cheaper than the Pro.

we have MBRP kits listed on our website @ www.buildadiesel.com I can ship it to you or if you don't mind picking the kit up out our shop in Raleigh call me (919-784-0411) and I'll honor the website price and you can avoid shipping costs.

cheers,
bigmac

I think someone mentioned it, doing an exhaust is fine, but if you don't touch the downpipe, it's not really worth it.

Straight pipe is nice.

How loud are the MBRP systems compared to stock?

They're certainly throaty, but not nearly as loud as a straight pipe. It filters out alot of the high pitched "raspiness" from a straight pipe.

I really like mine.

I love my strait pipe MBRP :bounce:

We installed an 4" MBRP exhaust on an '07 F350 6.0L Powerstroke a few weeks ago. Sounded very nice but wasn't loud enough for the owner. Ended up going back and installing an AeroTurbine muffler on it to replace the MBRP one, and that picked up the dBs a bit.
