Wanting to disable the factory AutoRide on my 2002 Suburban 2500 so I can level the front end and put on a nice set of aftermarket shocks all the way around. Been reading online and seems to be mixed results on using resistors to fool the computer. Even found a part number for a plug-in setup from Rancho (possibly another manufacturer) but can't find it for sale anywhere anymore. So has anyone successfully disabled AutoRide and not had the warning light on the dash?

Use a digital tech 2 and program it out. If your not too far away, I'm talk to my buddy that has one and make sure it's possible.. but if it can turn off DRLs, why can't it do that?

From what I've read, it's the self-adjusting shocks but if you replace them with regular shocks then it puts a warning light on the dash.

Its possible... Mine were all self contained, so there wasnt any way the computer would know anything.

I believe there was an air version available with sensors and a rear pump.

i have a 02 2500 bus with auto ride, its much different than the auto level. adjusts all four shocks with either air or hyd fluid, been a while since i read about it. from what i have been told it has to be deleted from the ecm, but there is a guy who sells the resistors and it looks like he sells a lot of them. this is what i read….if not properly disabled some ppl have seen the truck go int a limp mode and it won't exceed 25-30 mph and the compressor could run non stop. idk how 100% that is. i started looking into this after i realized the auto ride shocks were $600 per corner… i had plans to have cpm of nc take care of it if i ever had it tuned. something needs to be done at this point seems to have a little more bounce to it than it did five years ago
