Okay, I know, it's a long shot, but what the hell. It's worth a try. I work the night shift at a radio shop in Charlotte, and Wednesday night at about 2AM this punk kicked in the front door of the place, smashed a display case and started stealing stuff. I was in the back and heard him kick in the front door. I ran out and showed him my firearm, at which point he decided to rethink his shopping spree and go for a run. He was apparently a more motivated runner than I was, and I lost him. We've been hit three times in the last few weeks and it's getting pretty old. I know this isn't the best pic, but it's all I've got. Like I said, I know it's a long shot, but I just thought I'd ask if any of you guys happen to recognize him.

I hate thieves. Heres good luck to getting him. I'm good friends with the owner of my business, and I know how hard he works to get everything right. To see morons like this guy try to come in and take what isn't his so he can get his rock just pisses me off

glad your ok dave. guys like that could be packing heat to. and dont care about anything. hope you catch the little:poop:

Lemme guess, your shop is in the vicinity of...

South Blvd?
Tryon?

Got a couple buds with shops/stores in "high crime areas"... they've gone to full rolldown coverings for the store fronts. While they reduce broken windows/smash-n-dash and would require a torch/plasma cutter to get past... they cost some serious coin and likely entice the hoodlums to return with a stolen car for a battering ram

BTW, punk looks a little like PHeery's avatar!

Your store has been broken into three times in the last few weeks. I'd say its time to make the store a much less inviting target for the crooks. being broken into three times in that short amount of time says a lot about the store and the crooks.

We're on right off of I-85 near Sugar Creek. It's just a stones throw from Hidden Valley, which the cops say is getting to be one of the worst spots in town. As for the store, I agree, some bars over the windows may be in our immediate future.

I remember goin by Cookout there b4 the one in Concord opened up... I didnt ever get out of my car in that neighborhood after dark, and was glad I had my piece with me...

Just remember, in NC you can legally shoot him while hes breaking into your house/store, but once hes inside, you have to be in fear for your life or the life of someone else... just some food for thought to pull that hand-cannon sooner ;)

Hope you can catch the POS, and/or get a 2nd chance with an itchy trigger finger...

That really sucks man. I feel for ya and hope you catch the SOB. My daughter had her car stolen by her boyfriend and he sold it for drugs. He only got 3 months for it while we got a 3 year car payment to replace it.

Believe me, I would love nothing more than to arrange a meeting between thieves and their maker. But the reality of the situation is that if you shoot anyone under any conditions you had better be ready to defend yourself against a fat civil suit. No matter how much the guy richly deserves it, it's just not worth the hassle. Truly the best thing to do is to follow the intent of the law...only shoot to defend life. Of course having said that, if I do ever drop the hammer on someone I don't give a crap about shooting to wound.
