Dodge Brakes

My neighbor just came over and asked me to look at her 99 dodge Dually with the V10. (it's 9:30 nd dark out) I don't really know anything about the truck but it seams as though there is a motor on the ABS that was making noise. It sounded like it should have shut off but it didn't. Sounded like it was running without fluid or something. It had brake fluid in the resevoir. The motor that was running was really hot too. I pulled the ground to shut it off. Anyone got any info for me so I can pass it on before she takes it to the dealer? Thanks again
