When I tun the air on everything is fine (very cold) for about 10-15 miles. After that the air starts to get warm, not like heat but not cold. I checked the compresser cluch and it is not engaged. If i cut it off for a few miles it will do the same thing, cold at first then craps out. What could be causing the clutch to cut out? It doesn't seem to be draining much condensate could this be causing the clutch to switch off? On older cars this just results in a wet floorboard, which I don't have. Thanks for any help. B/G

I don't have gauges to check the pressure but it runs cold for 15-20 minutes. If it was low pressure would it get cold at all? I've seen low pressure cause the compresser to cycle on and off rapidly but mine's not doing that. B/G

Low charge level will cause the evap to ice up and it quits, thermistor will cycle compressor out and the orfice tube will restrict causing ice up. All can be found via guages.

Odds are it's a bit low on charge. Runs long enough for the low side to go into a vacuum and then cuts off on a low pressure switch. Go to wal mart and get one of those r134a cans with the valve and everything and put a little in it and see if it keeps running.
