Does anybody make a 5x5.5 to 8x6.5 bolt pattern adaptor? It seems pretty simple to design a tin can shaped spacer with the one different flanges on each end of the can, but i can't get any of the spacer companies that i found online to help me out. Any ideas? I'm trying to not have to run custom shafts.

Ive got a 5x4.5 to 8x6.5 one that I made. I see no reason you couldn't get a machine shop to do the same with the 5x5.5 pattern.

why are you wanting to get a spacer? what axles are you running that you have to keep?

as matt said, you can prob have a local machine shop do it for you, but it may be cheaper and/or smarter to just get a diff axle, IMO....

I'm trying to keep weight down by using a rear 9" and making it match my front 60's bolt pattern. I thought about making it a full float 9" using 60 parts too but i were gonna do all that work i'd make it rear steer and i'm not ready for all that yet. Then i considered making the 60 a 5 lug but that'd be downgrading strength and i wanted to avoid that.

how is down grading a 60 to 5 lug a loss of strength? can you not still use 35 spline outers, i think that parts mike has some of those. that would be the best way.

well id say either make the d60 5lug... there are kits for this.... or make the 9" FF using either d44 or d60 parts.... the latter will prob be more beneficial if youre set on keepin the 9", and you dont have to make it a steering axle to do this...

HighHonda on pirate4x4 forum has them. You have better strenght by changing your 60 hubs to 5 lug then using and aluminum adapter to make the 9" 8 lug.

I'm looking for these adapters myself anybody got a link??
