7 years of being a dumbass thinking it's all good.
It has seemed like heat was running more than normal this year. We started using the woodstove again at night to help with the chill. Being off work for two-plus months It felt like a window was open during the day. I checked them all thinking the new windows were going to have to come soon. This house had nothing but a woodstove for heat for the first two years of owning it. So today I decided to check the chimney for creosote build up and was blasted in the face by hot air coming from the bedroom chimney ( not used ,damper was closed ) and also seeping up around the woodstove pipe in the liner. So more or less a 12x12 hole and 6x4 hole just open in the house. All are sealed and capped now and the heat has really calmed down tonight. And before you say it, the wife was informed of the bedroom fireplace being capped.

Also now that the woodstove chimney is more or less a double wall insulated pipe now it seems to be running a little better tonight.
