he lives in cameron, just googled the zip, yea, i was gonna buy a set of those till i saw how he did business, i cant believe the mods didnt have a fit, which he did buy a diamond. but reguardless, i wouldntve done business anyways. hate you had to drive all that way for nuthin man

Maybe dude was asleep and then just said fuk it after that many calls.

Still makes him a POS but 75 calls seems outrageous.

Gotta agree, my brother bought 2 boggers from him a month or so ago, got a amazing deal, said he was a cool guy and there was no issues. So its possible you just pissed him off. I'm sure my brother has the address, but would like to hear both sides prior to choosing one.
 
Read through the great lakes thread, a couple people are speculating he stole the tires/rims from the military (considering he is in the military). They are military baja t/as on military h1 rims so you never know I guess. But you would think they would notice so many sets of tires missing. Without any proof its just speculation but it doesn't sound too far fetched.
 
Sounds like slander to me... I dunno. Seems to be a fine line. At the end of the day you didn't involve each other in a transaction so he's only guilty of being a piece of shit, not a crook. Between the 75 calls and threatening to "ruin his life" you might be over stepping your reasonable bounds. I am with SkyHiK5 on this one. Better take your lumps and move on.
 
Got mine with no problem at all, told him i'd be there he was there. I don't think he stole them, A he had a shit load, seems like it be hard to get off base with them, B 100dollarman on pirate was selling some for $1000 a set. I'm pretty sure hes a creditable seller so they must be available to the public unless hes a thief too.

Not taking side but had no problem with him.

I agree with that but the saying goes both ways.

If you make a deal with someone that they're going to collect $7000 of other people's money and drive 12 hours with a truck/trailer to buy something from you then you leave them hanging... You've probably got some lumps coming yourself.

And as for 75 phone calls, that doesn't sound ridiculous considering the seller could have stopped it anytime he wanted by simply answering or returning a call.

I want to hear the other side too, but the seller's reluctance to speak up doesn't look good.

It definitely makes him looks like the bad guy, and that he fawked up, knows he fawked up, and doesn't want to face the guy he made the deal with.
 
yeah, I think he ran out and just didn't answer the phone to tell him so. It was clear to me that it was first come first serve basis.

Unbeakable;

Went to his trailer in the sand to buy some odds and ends. On arrival he said it's all there, stuff was laying all over the place if you've ever been there. In the yard, on an old flatbed, in an old sears tin shed out back. Started loading my trailer, I went digging around in the shed for the last shaft, I couldn't find it. He finally fessed up and said "oh, it's back at my shop" I said let's go get it. He said "it 30-40 miles east of here". I was already beat tired from loading axles and crap in the sand and pine needles and he offered to UPS it because he could "easily", or I said call me when you're out my way and I'll pick it up. After mutiple statements of "I'll do it" "honestly" I did the stupid thing and left after giving him all the info.

Still don't have it, pm'd him on pirate also, got the same ole "I'm looking for it B.S." I think I've waited more than long enough.

Those shafts are $175 plus all day long, Jerrod, send me the money or a shaft and I'll delete this. Ball's still in your court.

If you did business with him and did good, good for you, I consider you lucky.

I put him in the same catogory as the guy from Alabama who was selling pure junk rockwells at twice the going rate, some did good by him, others not so good.
 
I'm not taking his side, but let's face it after the first phone call two hours into the trip he didn't answer I would have turned back. Poor judgement in my opinion, also its not a heart transplant or the end of the world its just tires your not out that bad even though he should have said "look I don't have the tires, or I just don't wanna do business with you."

A couple of sites have these tires for sale by the lot almost weekly.... If your willing to pony up and pay for 100 sets at once and jump through the hoops of obtaining them you can make a killing because they usually average about $75-$100 per set of four, thats about 200% profit on his end.

Sorry about your bad luck I really am, just be careful how you handle this.
 
You turned around before getting there. If you would have turned around earlier or finished the trip but going halfway and then turnin around isa waste. I wold have continued there. He had already said his phone doesn't work at his house? Has he contacted you since then? You may have killed his battery after 75 calls in 2 hours? Good luck gettin it straightened out. Looks like he is jut 45 minutes from me if he is in Sanford.
