so i finally got my accord back together and its been running perfect. until i told someone it was running perfect :taunt: . then there is no power to the car what-so-ever. so i take off both terminals from the battery posts. wire brush the hell out of them and put them back on. starts right up and works great. until then im driving down the road and was curious as to cutting my car off and starting it back up. it wont start back up. lights wont even turn on. i put it in gear and im rolling around 40 mph and drop the clutch. still nothin... so i pull over. door is open but no power at all. then i wire brush the terminals and posts without taking them off and everytime i do the power side, it arks. which gives the car half ass power . i dont know what to do, any suggestions?

Brush the terminals and posts, put them back on, and spray some corrosion inhibitor on the terminals. You're just not getting through the layer of corrosion on the terminals. Also, check that the alternator is working properly and not corroded on the terminal. The arcing you're seeing is the wire brush creating a temporary current path.

the terminal that is on the end of the wire was rusted and broke... therefor no ground was being made from the battery to the chasis... thanks for your replies though
