Returning from the coast i was driving through a town called Whiteville, NC. Passing a small dealership i look over and there is a convoy of old military one ton pick ups and blazers. obviosuly they will have their age but they looked fresh with paint, rims, and tires.

I always thought the pickup CUCV would be a great basis for a crawler.

The diesel engine might be a problem, might not, but switch out the transfer case, loose the bed, mess with WB length, cage, tires and some lift, armor and go!
