Any body ever run these, thoughts opinions recomendations?

I have a 84 4runner with a 85+ engine in it, and the current pacesetter header is crap, and is made for pre 84 engines, also i do not have ANY of the emissions stuff on this truck, and running a Weber carb.

I NEED a different exhaust, it leaks and poor repairs by a P.O.
I would just put a stock 85+ manifold on, but all I have avail is the older exhaust port style. Plus I'd need to do something with the mid pipe.

Thinking of buying this http://store.summitracing.com/partd...918680+4294907680+4294864938+115&autoview=sku

i have heard good things about DT headers.
I personally have the LCE 4:1 style. Like it a lot, after 3 years it still looks very nice, and teh fit was perfect.
At the time, I wanted a DT, but they couldn't confirm that it would fit with the auto transmission, onlt LCE did. But, it was more expensive.

I second LCE as I ran there header on my truck. I always head good things about a baby back header for the 22r/re's

LC are good for top end power gains they are a strait header
DT is a tri-Y design and is better on bottom end
I run a DT on my 85 4runner and 93 tracker both run great.

I have a thorley header on my 91 YJ and I love it. Fit and finish are good, torque is good, nothing bad to say about it.

If I were buying one now, I'd prob go for DT over LCE, just b/c of that power band issue. On s/w dyno, the LCE does better overall. But the diff is small. And the thing is, the 22re is already better on mid/high... but you only use thsi range on the highway... and since I have an auto tranny, I rarely get there anyway. But when it does, you can feel its start to really pick up aroudn 3k rpms or so. I'll probably shange my cam to slide that down a little.
