drilling out yokes to accept u bolts instead of straps?

I'm gonna be swapping out the 229 in my '90 for a 208 and was thinking it may be a good idea to go back with u bolts instead of straps. How does one convert from straps to u bolts?

ok, drilling them out may not be such a great idea...

is this the kit that I would need for both front and rear 44s in my '90?

Get the ubolts at AZone or Advance, about $5. They are in the small parts packages, they usually have some behind the counter also. You want the ones with a 1.5" spread, can't remember the part #. Drill the yoke out with a 5/16 bit.
