There's a place here in Salisbury that makes the 1000 horse power axles for the little hondas they made my rear shaft for my jeep using one ton joints in the cardin. They can do anything and the price is right. Name "the driveshaft shop" there on the net.

There's also Triangle driveline in NE Durham, he's done some work for me in the past... Now my dumbass drives to Concord for driveline work..

He's done both of my shafts. He takes a couple days to complete them, but he does a good job.

i called the driveshaft shop he quoted me 50 bucks to shorten it and he said i could give it to them at 9 and it would be done by 12

it'd be in the 550ft/lb range for a 1000hp b or k revving to a low 9500

Yeah, I actually figured it up at 10k rpms with 525ft-lbs, but I wanted to make the joke anyway.

Pricing is average or better, however, they used to offer a discount to NC4x4 members. I got a shaft built there and it has worked well.

Custom generally means made to length. Measure yoke-to-yoke and that should have it.

704-721-3319 is Universal's number..

But they made my original 2-piece shaft from drawings I faxed over, and it was spot-on.

I just prefer to tow my junk there so we can try different ideas before making the d-shaft
