DieselRam is on the same track as me...Toterhome seems perfect..Registered as a rv or house car in NC. Can pull just about anything. Decent used ones seem to start around 15k to 20k but by the time you consider a newer tow rig its not too bad.

I recently looked, and couldn't find a toter for under $40k.. where are you seeing $15-20?

I stopped by the place in Mocksville offf 40 that sells them, they started around 70k and went well over 200k before you got the enclosed trailer.

You guys who wine about how "expensive" four wheeling is need to go hang around the drag strip or local circle track and see how many guys roll up in these things. No real sponsers, racing for a couple grand, with 200K tow rig and 30K++++ just in the motor. On top of the posiblity of real body damage or sh=t canning a real motor, on it's first pass.

four wheeling is cheap!

FedEx Custom Critical drivers OWN those trucks, or drive for the owner, and are leased to FedEx. just like the FedEx ground trucks (local) you see all over.

Custom Critical guys make some loot !!! but thier life IS the road, they are all over the place. And in most cases a team driven rig ( hence the sleeper) they don't stop rolling for much.

Wait a bit of time, those trucks will start appearing for sale, they cannot be more than 5 years old from date of manufacture.

Occasionally they show up on ebay w/ buy it now. Of course these are a little older and some are based off of the gmc topkick platform or older freightliner trucks but they are there. Like it was mentioned earlier, retired race haulers are the most common ones.

www.truckpaper.com has the express haulers on there all the time.

www.racingjunk.com has a lot of toters for sale and you can find some under $40k, like this one for $32k:

or this one for $28k with 44ft trailer:

personally, I'm saving up for a HDT toter and will get an enclosed trailer with living quarters on front.

here's a link to the pictures of HDT haulers ralley this year:

If/When I go with something like that, requirement #1 is a pass-through into the living quarters, and an indoor shower. That leaves out all the trailer-type solutions.
#2 is air-ride.

I race a limited late model so I know all about that, out motor last year was 25k with a 20k back up motor. those renegade toterhomes come rolling in with 44ft trailers. some spend over 500k on their truck and trailer. another 50k on the car

I always stop by Trailers of the East Coast in Yadkinville on I-40 when I'm going to Asheville to walk around and simply stretch. There is always one of the big race team trailers there getting worked on. Last time, one of Jr's haulers, Petty's, and Mark Martin's haulers were in the parking lot. They also do all the Featherlite motorcoaches for many of the teams.

they have new renegades, toters and motorhomes, as well as used ones, consignments, along with hundreds of new and used trailers.
