So a person I know tells me this morning her husbands car got broken into in there driveway last night and all the crocks took was the garage door opener

So I asked: Did you call the police and file a report..

she says: NO

I say: Well the crocks are just gonna come back during the day when you are gonna and open your garage..

Why is everyone thinking that "dumb" is "dump"? That is dumb for that person though. Let me know what all they get so I can buy it on craigslist!
 
I hope she ran home and unhooked the garage door from the lift motor!

If the thieves were smart they'd have taken a bunch of other stuff to conceal the theft of the door opener.

Well if they had taken more stuff, the chances are much higher that the victim would have called the police early on. I believe they were hoping that the people would have simply forgotten where they put the garage door opener.

NOW if they were really smart, they'd open the garage door one day soon, unlock a window or something they can use to enter the house later, then place the garage door opener somewhere in the house so the person who "misplaced" it would find it, and think nothing of it.
 
They just need to re-program the garage door opener with all the current remotes and remove that one.. easy.
 
no outcome.. but she said they are on high alert now..

and she said her husband is doing something.. so I guess reprogram it or something
