What kind of mileage are you guys getting from your trucks. Im particularly interested in the Duramax, as I have never heard any numbers. All the CTD guys are real proud of their gas mileage, and Ive heard a few numbers from the PSD folks. Also, I tried to search and find this, but to no avail. If someone can point me in the direction of a thread that addresses this topic, I will make this thread here go away.

-Stop and go 16.3-17
-Trip unloaded (easy driving) 22
-Loaded 10-12

15-19 mpg depending how you are on the stupid pedal

what year Dmax you lookin?

there are currently 3 different engine versions, and 4th on the way. LB7 01-04, LLY jan 01 05-06, LBZ 06-07, new engine LMM 07-?

Might I suggest something built AFTER Jan 1 '05. (LLY engine) fewer injector issues, and easier to deal with such issues should they arise.

2002 Excursion, 4x4, 7.3 PSD, getting right at 15.5 as a daily driver. Stock all the way.

Have gotten as high as 17.x on the hwy from here to KY, pushing 75mph most of the way (not towing)

Best towing mpg was 15.x pulling a car on dads trailer (so the car was not sticking up higher than the top of the excursion)

Getting 10.x pulling the 6500ish of camper to / from the beach in overdrive (only was getting 8.x-9.x if I turned OD off)

Got about 11-12ish pulling the YJ on the trailer back forth to WV (lots of mountains)..that is with windshield on YJ up...have heard if I had dropped it I would see 1-2 mpg increase.

Excursion weighs about 8,000lbs by itself...

Best MPGs I have heard about are the older 12v Cummins AND getting some insanely GOOD MPG reports from an owner of a new Dodge with that 6.7L and 6 speed auto in it...(20.x towing his camper to / from the beach a week or two ago0
