e brake cable removal

brilliant! I usually say a few choice words but somehow get it worked out with a set of pliers

To reuse? I usually end up with channel locks and some four letter wrenches...

Like the hose clamp idea though.

When I did my disc swap though, I took the cables out of the drums with an angle grinder :wheel:

hose clamp squeezes all the little fingers at once, leave it just loose enough so when you tug on it the clamp slides off as the cable slide out..

I didn't have a hose clamp small enough, but yeah, that would work. I ended up getting 'em out just now with some needle nose pliers & a screw driver.

Now the cable is about 3" too short to work w/ the eldorado caliper e-brake. Any thoughts on how to extend it a little?

Once the inner cable is disconnected, I usually slide a box end wrench (usually a 1/2 inch or 13mm) over the three locking fingers which depresses them all equally, then pull the cable out from the back.
